This
upscale 33-story, mixed-used complex will have two floors
of retail, one floor of office condominiums, a fitness
center, six floors of loft condominium space, and 20
floors of residential condominiums including executive
and penthouse suites. Atop the attached 11-story, 1,000-space
parking garage will be a rooftop recreation area, swimming
pool and heavy landscaping. TLC worked closely with
the design team and developer to provide the most cost
effective engineering. High-efficiency HVAC systems
are designed to maximize indoor air quality and ease
of maintenance while serving the diverse spaces. Structural
engineers used computer analysis and 3-D modeling to
help them design effective systems while minimizing
construction costs. High-tech electronics systems will
control and monitor building access. Each residential
and office space will have the ability to communicate
with the public access points to identify visitors and
allow entry. 55 West is located on Church Street west
of Orange Avenue, at the site of the former Church Street
Market.
