Network security remains a critical component
of TLC productivity. For security reasons, we are restricting how people access
the network from outside our offices. Effective October 7, 2006, use of TLC's
web-based programs will require VPN access. These include:
VPN will require
everyone to log onto our network;
giving users direct access
to the files
on our
network. As a result, the Employee FTP site
is no longer needed, and will
be discontinued on October 14.
VPN connectivity
requires the installation of security software
on your home computer or laptop, in combination with a high speed Internet connection
(...a cable modem or broadband DSL). Please contact your LanOp or IT for help installing
the Sonicwall software.
