Our History

60 Years of Excellence

With more than 60 years of experience, multiple offices, a commitment to sustainable design and an enthusiastic embrace of leading-edge technology, TLC ranks among the largest and most respected engineering firms in the nation.

In 1955, a young structural engineer by the name of John Tilden, the T in TLC, joined forces with structural engineer Earl Wolpert and the rest is TLC history.  The mission has never wavered from practicing quality engineering that is creative, functional and cost effective; to serve as a strategic partner in support of our clients' mission and service; and to be a service and solution oriented team member.  Today TLC is a workplace of quality individuals cultivating future generations of engineers. On Sustainability: "I had a profession, but now I have a cause... We have it in our ability to save mankind. If a building is just a little bit green, it's better than not doing anything at all."
