Open
in December 2005, the new 12-story CNL Center II is the
first major office building in downtown Orlando in six
years. Located just north of City Hall and steps away
from the 14-story CNL Center I, the building has 291,200
sf of Class A office space including several floors planned
for spec tenants. Three major corporate tenants as well
as 300 CNL employees already call the new tower home.
Included in the project were the addition of two floors
(approximately 180,000 sf) to the Boone Street parking
garage, an air conditioned pedestrian bridge linking the
tower to the garage, and a corridor interconnection between
the CNL II and CNL pedestrian bridges along the east side
of the Boone Street garage. Card key technology controls
access to interior spaces and the pedestrian walkway to
the parking garage. Closed-circuit color TV cameras monitor
the public areas including the lobby, elevators, and hallways,
as well as the building exterior. TLC design specialists
also upgraded the CCTV system in Tower I and networked
the voice-data distribution systems in Tower I, Tower
II, and the CNL Hanger at Orlando Executive Airport, a
two-story aviation and support building. Under separate
contracts, TLC provided MEP services for several tenant
build-outs.
