Systems Engineers, Designers, and Technicians are highly valued members of the Technology and Communications Division. Based in Orlando with team members in various TLC locations, the Technology and Communications Division designs security, voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, and healthcare facilities. These systems include biometrics, monitoring, wireless spread spectrum transmission, microwave transmission, satellite transmission, fiber optics, LAN, plasma screens, rear screen projection, interactive kiosks, and video conferencing.


Systems Engineering Manager *Ownership potential
In this Senior Systems Engineering position, you will provide the necessary technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Systems staff to assure total quality of all engineering efforts, appropriate fee development and timely billing and collection of project fees. You will assist the Division Director in meeting divisional marketing goals, revenue projections and client expectations. You may serve as the Project Engineer when dictated by the project size, complexity or request.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree, PE, and at least 8 years experience in the engineering and design of security, voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, and healthcare facilities. Systems Project Engineer
In this position, you will be responsible for total management of all the aspects of your projects to ensure they are completed on time and at the highest level of quality while meeting the clients expectations and producing profit for the firm. In this position, you will have direct leadership of the engineering design and production for multiple disciplines. You will ensure that the project is handled in a professional manner, including obtaining all necessary contracts and authorizations to perform work. Marketing and client maintenance, including preparation of proposal and negotiation of contracts, are also key functions of the Project Engineer.

Ideal candidate possess at least 6 years experience in the engineering and design of security, voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, and healthcare facilities. BSEE desired, but not required. Demonstrated project management success expected.

Systems Specialty Designer (Voice/Data)
As a Systems Senior Specialty Designer, you will be held accountable for projects assigned (Security Systems for Access Control and CCTV) as well as the personnel assigned to those projects and the quality of all engineering efforts and designs, assuring the project is completed to client satisfaction. You will plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work. You may function as the project lead on specific projects of small to medium scope and you may participate in the firm's marketing efforts. You will refer your work to the Senior Engineer for general review of the final results.

Ideal candidate will have 8+ years experience in an A/E environment, engineering and designing Security Systems for Access Control and CCTV. Solid knowledge and experience with Voice/Data, and Audio/Visual design is expected.

Systems Engineer II
As a Systems Engineer II, you will be accountable for projects assigned including the planning, design, and production of the engineering components, and maintaining successful client relationships. You will rely upon your high level of engineering judgment and experience in developing the appropriate quality engineering solutions, coordinates the activities of other team members and assists in production as needed to meet schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts between disciplines and work as a team player. You may function as a Project Engineer on specific projects of smaller scope, participate in the firm's marketing effort, and supervise the tasks and methods used by other personnel assigned to the project. You will report to the Senior Engineer or Senior Project Engineer as assigned by the Division Director and work with the Project Engineer.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, EI or PE preferred, and at least 4 years experience in the engineering and design of security, voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, and healthcare facilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Systems Engineer I
As a Systems Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing voice/video/data distribution systems for buildings. Additionally, you will be responsible for the complete performance of construction administration tasks by processing drawings, RFI's, and site visits during the construction phase. The Engineer I works under the direct supervision of the Project Engineer on specific assignments in the design and production of the firm's projects and is accountable for small projects assigned and specific discipline designer activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts between disciplines and work as a team player. You will report to the Senior Engineer or Senior Project Engineer as assigned by the Division Director and may at times have a dual reporting line to a Project Engineer.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, EI or PE preferred, and at least 3 years experience in the engineering and design of voice/data/data distribution systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, and healthcare facilities. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential.

Systems Designer (Audio/Visual) II
As a Systems Designer II, you will be responsible for drafting and designing audio visual systems for corporate boardrooms, conference rooms and auditoriums, as well as A/V design in support of educational, healthcare and hospitality clients. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Qualified candidates will possess 4+ years of experience designing audio/visual systems using AutoCAD. RF distribution, voice/data and wireless communications knowledge is required. Experience with Visio a plus. Knowledge of Creston, Extron, AMX control systems is essential to the position. AA/AS degree or technical certification, i.e. RCDD & CTS or CTS-D preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client meetings and user groups required.

Systems Technician
As a Systems Technician, you will be responsible for drafting security voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for buildings. In this position, you will transform initial rough project designs and concepts into working documents utilizing AutoCad. You will work closely with the technical team members in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Qualified candidates will possess 2+ years experience drafting in an A/E environment or certification in AutoCad. Candidates with experience designing related systems preferred. High school diploma or recognized equivalent required. Must have the ability to efficiently plan and organize work, demonstrated success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communications skills, and a positive work ethic.
