TLC Dallas now occupies
new sustainable office space on the 2nd floor of the
Fitzhugh Central Building. The new space is nearly twice
the size of the old one and provides plenty of room
for growth for when the economy climbs out of recession.
TLC engineers provided MEP/FP and commissioning services
for the office, which includes energy-efficient lighting
and equipment, sensor faucets and other water-efficient
features, and low-toxicity materials. The office has
achieved LEED Gold for Commercial Interiors certification.
The staff offers strong
MEP expertise, in-depth knowledge of the local marketplace,
and diverse building-type experience.
Led by Managing Director John G. Piazza, PE, the crew
provides engineering design and consulting services
for hospitals, airports, corporate offices, schools,
and industrial buildings. Among their key projects
are the $54 million, 310,000-sf Presbyterian Hospital
of Denton; the $30 million Gulfport-Biloxi International
Airport Terminal Expansion/Renovation; the $10 million
Health Science Center/Paramount Building Renovation
in Dallas; and the five-building Royal Ridge Office
Park in Las Colinas.
A leader in sustainable design, their portfolio includes
the LEED Gold-certified Dallas South Central Police
Station and numerous LEED registered buildings including
Park Place Honda of Burleson; Dallas Fire Station No.
42; Global Peace Factory Coffee House; Bank of America
buildings throughout Dallas and Houston; and the $100
million Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
In addition to MEP and sustainable design, TLC
Dallas provides engineering systems design, feasibility
and due diligence studies, systems condition and capacity
evaluations, code reviews, quality control review, and
construction administration services.
