In 1955, John Tilden started what would one day be a national, 11 office, several hundred person collaboration of creativity that is known as TLC Engineering for Architecture.
TLC is on a mission to provide excellent Engineering for Architecture. Our vision is to be a trusted engineering advisor and leader in creating sustainable environments. We value building sustainable, long term and trusting relationships based on providing extreme service while also keeping an eye on profitability. Our purpose is to serve as an indispensable and trusted design partner, delivering creative engineering.
Our Sustainable Design Commitment
TLC accepted the 2030 Challenge, endorsed by the American Institute of Architects, to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Since engineering the first LEED-Certified project in Florida in 2003, TLC has provided sustainable design services for more than 300 projects in 14 states and in countries throughout the world, including more than 17.5 million sf of LEED-certified sustainable space.

TLC’s support of your continued learning and development creates a foundation for growth. The TLC University (“TLCU”) provides daily learning opportunities in technical and managerial topics. Attendance at professional seminars and training classes, educational assistance and support of association membership seal the plan.
