Graduate Engineers and Interns receive mentoring from experienced engineering leaders. From your first week in new hire orientation training to the ongoing relationship built with your mentor, TLC is fostering your success as a Consulting Engineer.

Depending on your discipline, you will partner with architects to design the systems that make a building run.

  • Electrical Engineers design lighting, power, and communication systems by performing electrical load calculations, panel board, transformer, and branch circuit sizing, and performing computer breaker and short circuit analysis.

  • Mechanical Engineers design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems by performing HVAC load calculations, sizing equipment, ductwork, piping, and performing computer economic analysis of alternate HVAC systems.

  • Structural Engineers design steel trusses, foundation systems, short-span and pedestrian bridges, tilt-wall and pre-cast wall systems, conventional and composite steel framing, and reinforced, post-tensioned and aerated autoclave concrete.

  • Systems Engineers design security, voice/video/data distribution, and audio/video presentation systems for buildings. These systems include biometrics, smart cards, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV systems and controls, remote monitoring, fiber optics, LAN, plasma screens, rear screen projection, interactive kiosks, and video conferencing.
