a Teflon membrane fabric roof designed to look like huge sails,
the new terminal boasts a wall of glass overlooking the channel
and a festive, nautical air. The glass-enclosed passenger bridge
spans the length of the terminal and allows boarding from three
movable gangways. Serving the terminals is a new central plant
with thermal ice storage. Winner of the FICE Grand Award for
Structural Design and the AIA Florida Merit Award of Excellence. |
