Passion fuels our
commitment to green: A passion for
simple, efficient solutions that are healthy
for the people who live, learn, and work
in the buildings we engineer. And
healthy for the environment.
TLC's commitment
to sustainability has made us a leader
in the green building design movement
in the Southeast. Sustainability is woven
into our corporate culture:
Our
green team includes 75 LEED Accredited
Professionals, 13 ACG-Certifed Commissioning
Authorities and a certified geothermal
designer.
More than 20% of TLC's professional
staff are LEED Accredited Professionals.
Our nine offices are carbon neutral
following the purchase of sustainable
energy credits to offset the energy used
for lighting, power, heating and cooling.
Our design/commissioning
portfolio includes 15 LEED Certified
buildings and more than 100 LEED
Registered buildings -- totaling
more than 20.5 million square feet
of sustainable space.
Lots of "firsts"
propelled TLC to the top ranks in
sustainable engineering including
the first building, first health
care facility, first public school,
first elementary school, and first
higher education building in Florida
to be LEED certified and the first
building in Florida to be LEED certified
for Commercial Interiors.
TLC is also among the first engineering
firms in Florida to belong to the
U.S. Green Building Council.
